Dr. Bothepha Mosetlhi is an environmentalist specialising in biodiversity conservation & social development, common property resource (wildlife, rangelands, and water) governance, savannah ecology, climate change & livelihoods, gender and the environment, conservation behaviors (including environmentally friendly practices such as rainwater harvesting and wastewater re-use) and research methodology.

She holds a B.A. and an MSc. (Environmental Science) degrees both obtained from the University of Botswana, and a PhD (Interdisciplinary Ecology) from the University of Florida, USA. Dr Mosetlhi is currently employed as a lecturer at the University of Botswana (Department of Environmental Science) where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses. She has previously served in the private sector as an environmental consultant and in government (Roads Department) as an assistant environmentalist. She has worked extensively in Botswana and southern Africa in various development and research projects covering EIAs, socio-economic and environmental baseline studies, and environmental management in general.
